The Alpha-N G87 M2 LCI Front Grille Emblem Retainer with BMW OEM M2 Badge allows owners running the Alpha-N G87 M2 Carbon Front Grille to retain the signature BMW front grille emblem while maintaining the aggressive motorsport appearance of the upgraded grille design. Developed as a solution for the Alpha-N carbon grille system, this retainer restores the ability to mount the factory M2 badge to the new grille.
TheĀ Alpha-N G87 M2 Carbon Front GrilleĀ dramatically opens up the front end of the vehicle, creating a much more motorsport-inspired appearance that better matches the large center intake of the G87 front bumper. Inspired by the CSL and GT3-style grille designs used on the G8X M3 and M4 platforms, the Alpha-N grille delivers a far more aggressive look while improving airflow to the cooling system.
Because the Alpha-N grille was designed as a true motorsport component, it does not include a provision for the factory M2 grille emblem. To address this, Alpha-N developed a dedicated emblem retainer that allows the OEM badge to be mounted cleanly and securely.
The base retainer is produced using precision 3D printing in Germany and is then professionally finished in BMW high-gloss black at IND Distribution to match OEM trim components. After painting, each unit is pre-assembled with BMWās genuine LCI G87 M2 front grille emblem so the kit arrives ready for installation.
Installation is straightforward and requires minimal preparation. The mounting surface on the grille should be cleaned with alcohol before applying the pre-installed 3M adhesive tape, allowing the emblem retainer to securely attach to the Alpha-N carbon grille.
