Description
As the most powerful and quickest 911 GTS ever produced, the 992.2 delivers impressive performance—but strict European sound and emissions regulations limit its true potential. Our R&D team made good use of our own GTS to develop this valved turbo-back exhaust system to enhance your driving experience with a richer, smoother, and more-aggressive exhaust note under all conditions.
 UNLOCK HIDDEN PERFORMANCE
Modern Porsches must meet ever-growing sound and stringent European emissions regulations that have made their way stateside. The GTS pushes over 500 hp through a downpipe that is possibly the most restrictive exhaust piece we’ve ever seen on a performance vehicle.
The eTurbo turbocharger in the T-Hybrid system offers an advantage over a traditional turbo design. To guarantee sustained performance with an ideal air-fuel mixture ratio, Porsche uses a very large exhaust diameter. Without assistance from the eTurbo, these larger flow cross-sections in the exhaust components would result in significant turbo lag. The electric motor drastically shortens the time required for the turbo to spool up, meaning that the full boost pressure is consistently available within a very short time. This ensures that the engine maintains the ideal air-fuel mixture ratio and still builds up torque quickly – almost immediately. In spite of this potential for high exhaust flow, gasses are choked by a massive 8” GPF filter and restrictive catalytic converter.
By eliminating the GPF filter and upgrading to an optimized catalytic converter, the massive increase in efficiency from the SOUL Sport Cat Downpipe results in better response under all conditions and a noticeably harder pull throughout the power curve. We have seen gains of over 50 whp and 40 ft-lbs of torque with our Performance Exhaust System and factory software (shown below) – the majority of those gains are a result of the efficiency boost in the sport cat section.

FACTORY INTEGRATION
The SOUL 992.2 GTS Valved Exhaust System is precision-engineered for seamless integration with Porsche’s factory exhaust valve actuator and PSE programming. The factory valves are electronically controlled unlike older “open or closed” vacuum style valves. Able to work variably, the valves will gradually open and close depending on several factors of engine operation. Even under full throttle application in Sport mode the valves will still not stay open 100% of the time. With this in mind it was imperative that our system have a smooth transition during valve operation. Expect exceptional sound and performance with no check-engine lights or need for an ECU tune or OBD killer device.

Back purged TIG welding (with ARCAL™ Prime argon gas) ensures proper weld penetration for exceptional strength and longevity
Water jet cut flanges are made to ISO 9001:2015 standards with ultra-tight tolerances of +/- 0.003 inches for extreme precision
Fabricated using thick-gauge aluminum fixtures that act as a heat sink during the welding process to prevent any warpage

Thanks to our long-term development 992.2 GTS and ample time developing our different options during R&D we can effectively offer a refined presence with valves closed and an even more rambunctious valves open symphony.
Due to the integrated unequal length turbo manifolds, the GTS has a rich, deep character much like a new and improved 930 Turbo with a hint of AMG 4.0TT V8. Our focus was to enrich the tone as much as possible given the exhaust configuration and create a noticeable delta between both valves opened and closed. This system delivers a tangible increase in volume and character with valves open while maintaining a refined level of volume with valves closed. Overall, you can expect more sound throughout the RPM range and a smooth transition as the factory valve opens and closes while reducing any audible abruptness as the valves quickly shut on deceleration.
- Turbo sound is abundant thanks to the high-flow catalytic converter – expect much greater levels of boost volume!
- Undesirable cabin presence is kept to an absolute minimum for comfortable cruising conditions when valves are closed.
- Valved closed mode is louder than stock yet comfortable at low rpms.
- Larger tubing diameter and a less restrictive external flowpath offers much greater volume over the stock muffler with valves open.

Every component undergoes rigorous quality control and is fixture-tested to guarantee precise fitment.  After passing QC, each system is foam-packed to ensure it arrives in perfect condition. We provide all the high-grade hardware necessary for installation – including a heat shield for the resonator.
