Brake Dust Shield

Brake dust can build up on the brake caliper and rotor, which can cause uneven braking, vibration, and noise. While a small amount of brake dust is normal, excessive brake dust can limit braking performance. Brake dust shields are used to help prevent excessive duct build in the supporting brake and suspension components surrounding the wheel hub. Brake dust shields also help protect the brake rotors, calipers, and pads from environmental elements that can affect braking performance.

• Noise: Scrapping or dragging coming from brake dust shield failure and damage to the rotor
• Exposure and Rust: Excessive build-up of rust along the hub surface, caliper, and brake disc
• Build Up: Build up of dust coming from friction material around the spindle
