BimmerWorld Differential Dual-Mount Bushing Set (Offset) - F8X M2/M3/M4

BimmerWorld Differential Dual-Mount Bushing Set (Offset) - F8X M2/M3/M4

Video: Offset Dual-Mount Diff Bracket Explained

+ Upgrade your existing urethane or rubber dual-mount rear bracket to solidĀ
+ Raise diff for better axle alignment (via offset bushings)Ā Ā
+ Solid bushings have near-zero flex or axle wind-upĀ Ā
+ More power transferred to the wheelsĀ Ā
+ More direct and positive feedback and road feelĀ Ā
+ Eliminate the potential failure of stock bushingsĀ Ā

This bushing set covers the front bracket and both rear mounts in the subframe. This set assumes you already have a dual-mount rear bracket and want to upgrade from urethane to solid alloy mounts. On race cars we prefer aluminum to minimize deflection as much as possible. While urethane might be fine for street use they pale in comparison to solid when used on the track. Solid materials have almost zero wear and tear, eliminating another maintenance item from your prep list.Ā Ā

The front mounts in this kit are offset 14mm higher than standard mounts. This raises the diff to better align the rear axle shafts with a lowered suspension. As you lower the ride height the angle of the rear axles becomes more extreme, which could cause premature failure in the CV joints. Raising the diff also helps with clearance between the ground and the diff cooling fins.Ā Ā

Because of the solid nature of these bushings we only recommend them for track use. We do offer several urethane options if you want a more street-friendly bushing option (but without the height correction).Ā Ā

Note: front bushing bracket not included. The supplied bushings will need to be pressed into your existing bracket. Some clearancing by removing metal on the subframe is required. The parking brake bracket cable must be removed and the cable secured away from the driveshaft.Ā Ā
