Rear Toe Arm Reinforcement Kit - F22, F30, F32

The BimmerWorld View: we expect this will most-likely affect cars with tubular control arms and rod end joints. But it is a weak spot we identified with our F30 race cars and needs attention on any tracked F30, F32, F22.

These reinforcements will create a boxed end to the inner toe control arm mount on F22 2-series, F30 3-series, and F32 4-series models*. The boxing creates a much more rigid mounting point on the rear subframe.

In our F30 race cars we noticed unexpected toe alignment settings after sessions. If drivers were aggressive over curbs the sheetmetal mounting point for the toe arm would bend and deform, leading to an alignment change. The factory mount is sheetmetal bent to form a square tube and then welded to the subframe. By closing in the end we are adding strength and rigidity to the tube.

If you run stock arms with rubber or polyurethane bushings this is not likely to be a problem. Still deflection and bending of the arm will transfer into the subframe. And a $30 fix is an easy solution to any potential future problems.

*there are several different rear subframe types but only one rear toe arm part number. The mounting point is likely the same for all subframes but we could not verify precise fitment on all of them. There is some flexibility built into the design of the reinforcement so it can be massaged to match the contours of the subframe.

Welding required. Access to certain points will be extremely limited unless the subframe is removed.

Made in USA.
