Precision Monoball thrust arm upgrade for F22 2-series, F30 3-series, and F32 4-series.
Our BimmerWorld Precision Front Upper Control Arm Bearing Kit is our preferred thrust arm bushing upgrade because of the huge amount of suspension load that the front upper control arm (aka pull rod or tension strut), takes in an F3X car under braking. With the familiar multi-link front end, the same issues we found with our E9X racecars in 2006 need to be addressed.
The Problem: In street cars, the rubber bushings in F22, F30, F32 are big and soft with an open design to allow the joint to rotate in multiple axis, which is required when turning the steering wheel through its range of motion. Unfortunately, this means the bushing is compressing and then releasing and causing the tire to skip across the pavement under braking - a condition worsened once ABS is engaged.
The Solution: Our Precision Front Upper Control Arm Bearing Kit is the slam dunk solution for this problem, utilizing a fully-sealed ball joint (aka āmonoballā) to give full multi-axis rotation. Since this is a true OE-quality bearing and fully sealed, this part is perfectly at home even on a performance street car and the durability and performance is perfect even in the extremes of a 24-Hour endurance race car. Adding these parts to your tracked car will make a noticeable improvement in braking and turn-entry grip.
Fits all RWD F22, F30, F31, F32 models. Replaces the inner bushing on BMW part numbers 311126855741, 311126855742 and replaces BMW part number 31126855743.
New control arms included with Meyle HD outer ball joints.
