If your BMW M52TU or M54 has a noisy VANOS unit, you've just found the best solution to your problem! This VANOS update kit is for E46 323i/325i/328i/330i, E39 525i/528i/530i, E60 525i/530i, E83 X3, E53 X5, Z3 E85 Z4 - all the cars that came with the M52tu or M54 dual vanos engines.

Our Vanos Update Dual Vanos Unit is the ultimate solution if your engine sounds more like a diesel truck than a fine German sports car. If you have a high-mileage BMW with a VANOS cam timing system, and if you've noticed a lack of low-end power as the miles add up, on top of the can-of-marbles sound from the front of your engine, then it may be time to replace your VANOS with a freshly rebuilt unit, rebuilt in-house at BimmerWorld.

The kit comes as a fully rebuilt VANOS unit with modified internals, such as high-performance seals and O-rings, to completely eliminate the dreaded VANOS rattle. Plus, this is a great way restore lost power and increase the life of the unit. We disassemble each unit, clean all parts, and then re-assemble by hand and checking clearances and tolerances as we go. Our Vanos units will stand up to more abuse than stock, making them ideal for track cars, race cars, and forced induction applications.

Our Dual Vanos kit also includes:
+ Inner Torx screws (LH thread)
+ Inner plug o-rings
+ New Vanos mounting gasket
+ 2 new crush washers for the oil line

Solenoids are not included. To ensure correct and optimum operation we recommend getting new solenoids (see Related Items below). However, you can re-use your existing solenoids (you can easily test them). There is no need to send your old solenoids in with the core.
